Job Description

PORTABELLOS
of
KENNETT SQUARE
is currently seeking a bartender to join our amazing team.
POSITION OVERVIEW
As the primary contact for guests in the bar, the Bartender is responsible for selling, preparing and serving mixed beverages, wine and food. Duties include preparing and serving beverages, overseeing bar maintenance, making menu suggestions, delivering food and drinks, describing the dishes to guests, recommending wine selections, monitoring guest satisfaction, and managing inventory. Must be pleasant, conscientious, and professional with knowledge of mixology, product, and alcoholic beverage selections. Must be able to operate effectively as part of a team, communicate clearly, and ensure smooth service operations and quality service.

A motivated beverage professional who is organized, passionate, and professional. You will be a leading part of our beverage team with a passion for educating and enthralling our guests. You have amazing attention to detail, and expansive knowledge of spirits, wine, and beer. You work well as part of a team, work well under pressure, and have experience in inventory management and beverage costing. You have a strong desire to learn and take a leading role in staff education and development. What you bring to the table: 2 years' experience in a fine dining or casual fine dining high volume bar or restaurant Exceptional communication skills Experience in recipe development, inventory management, and staff education Experience in promotions and social media marketing is a plus Intellectual curiosity Ability to work clean, organized, and as part of a team Ability to move and lift 40 pounds at a time At least 21 years of age Must be able to stand and walk for an extended period of time
Pay:
$100.00 - $350.00 per day
