Position Title:

Bartender Job Type:

Full-Time $5.00 per hour, plus tips (Estimated up to 37.00 per hour)

Schedule:

Weeknights (PM), Weekends (PM) Work location: Poogan's Porch Responsibilities (include the following and other responsibilities that may be assigned as needed):

• Present menus to guests, offer suggestions, and answer questions about menu items, daily specials, beverages, and other restaurant functions
• Take beverage orders f rom serving staff and food/beverage orders from guests seated at the bar
• Check guests' IDs to ensure they meet the minimum age requirements for alcoholic beverages
• Enter food and beverage orders into the POS system
• Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks consistent with PHG's standard drink recipes
• Serve food to guests seated at the bar
• Be aware of signs of intoxication and how to handle customers appropriately
• Monitor and observe guests' experience to ensure satisfaction with the food, drinks, and service
• Respond promptly and courteously to any guest complaints
• Accept guest payment, process credit card charges, and make change as needed
• Prepare garnishes for drinks
• Clean and sterilize glasses, utensils, and bar equipment
• Stock bar with beer, wine, liquor, and related supplies such as ice, glassware, napkins, or straws.
• Maintain clean and orderly bars, work areas, and tables
• Immediately report all equipment problems and bar maintenance issues to a supervisor
• Attend all scheduled employee meetings and offer any suggestions for improvement What You Bring to the Table Your experience: 2 years of high-volume bartending experience is preferred Your education level: High school diploma or equivalent Your abilities, skills, and traits:
• Demonstrate excellent customer service and conflict resolution skills
• Possess a broad knowledge of beer, wine, liquors, and cocktails
• Demonstrate an ability to use a variety of bar utensils and tools
• Have experience with point-of -sale systems
• Have ability to read, count, and write
• Work well under pressure and maintain fast, efficient service
• Exhibit a positive and friendly demeanor to guests and team members
• Be dependable and punctual
• Be able to stand for duration of shift, climb stairs, and lift and move heavy items
