Job Description
The On-Call Banquet Server/Bartender is responsible for delivering exceptional food and beverage service during private events, weddings, Member functions, and club-sponsored gatherings. This role supports banquet operations through professional guest interaction, efficient event execution, and adherence to the high service standards associated with luxury hospitality and private club environments. This flexible, on-call position is ideal for hospitality professionals who thrive in fast-paced event settings and are available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays based on business needs. Key Responsibilities Banquet Service and Bartending Set up banquet rooms, bars, buffets, and event spaces according to event specifications and service standards Serve food and beverages in a polished, professional, and timely manner Maintain a strong understanding of banquet menus, wine selections, and specialty cocktails Anticipate guest needs and provide attentive, personalized service throughout events Clear tables, refresh settings, and maintain cleanliness during and after functions Assist with breakdown and reset of event spaces following completion of service Verify guest age and comply with all alcohol service laws and Company policies Maintain cleanliness and organization of bar areas, glassware, and supplies Monitor inventory and communicate restocking needs to management Handle Member charges accurately when applicable Team & Professional Standards Work collaboratively with banquet captains, culinary staff, and fellow service team members Maintain a professional appearance and positive attitude at all times Uphold club standards for hospitality, discretion, and Member confidentiality Follow all health, safety, sanitation, and food handling guidelines Qualifications Previous banquet serving, bartending, or hospitality experience preferred Knowledge of food, wine, cocktails, and banquet service procedures Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail Excellent communication and guest service skills Flexible availability including nights, weekends, holidays, and seasonal events TIPS or alcohol service certification preferred (or willingness to obtain) Schedule & Environment On-call, variable scheduling based on event calendar and business demand Indoor and outdoor event settings across club properties Opportunity for seasonal and year-round shifts
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to stand, walk, bend, and lift for extended periods. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
