Full Job Description Job Summary:
The Bartender is responsible for delivering exceptional guest experiences during concerts, weddings, private events, and other venue functions. This role focuses on providing friendly, efficient beverage service while creating a welcoming atmosphere for guests. We are looking for someone who enjoys interacting with people, thrives in a fast-paced event environment, and contributes to the positive energy of our music and event venue. Experience is preferred, but a friendly and professional attitude is essential.
Compensation:
Our compensation for this role is $15.00 per hour plus tips. Tips are paid out at the conclusion of each event. This is a part-time position with hours determined by the venue's event schedule.
Responsibilities:
Guest Service and beverage operations: Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages in accordance with venue standards and Tennessee alcohol service regulations. Deliver exceptional customer service and create a welcoming experience for all guests. Accurately process transactions using Toast POS. Verify guest identification and ensure responsible alcohol service at all times. Monitor guest needs and maintain a positive, professional presence throughout events.
Bar Setup & Maintenance:
Assist with event setup and breakdown of bar service areas. Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked bar throughout service.
Event Support:
Work collaboratively with venue staff, event coordinators, security personnel, and management to ensure smooth event operations. Adapt to changing event needs and assist with miscellaneous guest service tasks as needed. Represent the venue professionally while contributing to a fun and engaging event atmosphere.
Requirements:
Must be at least 18 years of age. Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a Tennessee Alcoholic Beverage Commission (TABC) Server Permit and complete any required alcohol awareness training. Friendly, outgoing personality with strong customer service skills. Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently and as part of a team. Comfortable working evenings, weekends, holidays, concerts, weddings, and special events. Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 30 pounds. Strong communication skills and a professional appearance.
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous bartending, restaurant, hospitality, or event venue experience. Experience using Toast POS. Knowledge of beer, wine, spirits, and basic cocktail preparation.
