Specific Job Prerequisites:
Must be pleasant in dealing with guests and co-workers. Must be physically capable of performing basic chores. Must be able to endure prolonged walking and standing. Must be able to work under pressure. Must have the ability to carry trays/pans weighing up to 30 lbs. Must have bartending experience, minimum 2 years. Must have TABC and Food Handler Certificate on your hiring day.
Major duties and responsibilities:
Responsible for serving and interacting with guests including but not limited to selling menu item, taking and filling orders, making drinks, serving drinks and food, table maintenance and customer service. Be at work on time. Proper uniform and personal hygiene are mandatory. Report to manager on duty immediately after clock-in for daily side work. Check assigned station prior to opening. Check for cleanliness and sanitary standards. Inform, train and motivate wait staff on selling. Verify identification and age requirements of guests ordering alcohol and/or cigars. Promote teamwork and provide prompt, friendly and attentive service to all guests and staff. Provide responsible service of alcoholic beverages, according to federal and/or state law. Be sure to have necessary tools on hand or nearby (paper, pen, wine opener, lighter, etc.). Be knowledgeable of all menu items, their contents and preparation methods. Be prepared to answer any guest questions in a direct, concise way. While at the bar, ensure all bar equipment is in proper working condition, cleaned and organized. Maintain proper inventory at all times. The bar must be stocked and cleaned on a daily basis including mixer and juicer. Restock ice at end of shift. Educate and assist staff in understanding basic "bar vocabulary" (drinks, etc.). Prepare drink batches for the day as necessary as well as cutting fruit, preparing ingredients. NOTE:
Restaurant operates seven days per week. Scheduling will be based on demands of restaurant business. Flexibility is required.
