JOB DESCRIPTION
: The Bartender will craft cocktails, serve beer and other beverages as well food as ordered by guests.COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
$7/hr.+ tips- Biweekly (every two weeks) Extensive health benefits paid time off, retirement, tuition reimbursement, and employee discounts at hundreds of US and international properties.
Notice of Tip Credit:
Federal and state law allows employers to use a tip credit toward their minimum wage obligation for tipped associates. To clarify, $7.00 comes from your base hourly rate with a tip credit of $0.25 applied so that the average hourly rate is no less than $7.25 per hour. All tips received by the tipped associate are to be retained by the associate except for a valid tip pool arrangement as defined by the specific position and outlet of the Texas A&M Hotel and Conference Center.SCHEDULE
The hospitality industry is 24 hours a day, seven days a week, and 365 days of the year. All candidates must be available and are expected to work Texas A&M football game days, Ring Days, graduations, and other high occupancy times due to special events. We strive hard to manage and minimalize overtime, but it should and will be expected when business levels call for it.Full-time:
30-40 hours per week depending on level of business forecastedPart-time:
8-29 hours per week depending on level of business forecasted Days of week/weekend scheduled will vary depending on level of business forecasted.Shift options:
Typically, 3PM-1AM. Full-time or part-time availableESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Compose and be knowledgeable of standard drinks and liquors or wines specific to lounge bar. Plan and maintain par levels for bar inventory. Prepare daily orders for bar items to maintain pars. Responsible for cash handling and bank procedures as outlined by the Accounting Department. Perform accurate bar inventories as outlined by leadership expectations. Responsible for learning suggestive selling techniques and using them during services. Maintain cleanliness of all workplace areas that apply to the bar. Maintain perfectly crisp professional image and uniform. What are we looking for? High school diploma or equivalent. Two to three years bartending experience. One-year fine dining or high-end resort experience. Extensive liquor, beer, wine and mixology knowledge. Excellent customer service skills. Pleasant and helpful personality.Compensation:
