ABOUT THE VENUE

Castaways Bar & Grill is the on-site restaurant and bar at Big Al's Barefoot Bay Marina & RV Resort — a waterfront destination on Lake Bob Sandlin in Pittsburg, Texas. We serve a lively mix of locals, boaters, RV guests, and families, with live music on weekends and a packed event calendar including Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day, Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas at the Bay, and New Year's Eve. The 2026 season also brings the debut of our brand-new Floating Activity Zone — the only one in the ArkLaTex region. JOB DESCRIPTION

We're looking for an experienced and customer-focused bartender to join our team. The ideal candidate is energetic, reliable, and passionate about delivering excellent service in a fast-paced environment. You'll be responsible for preparing beverages, engaging with guests, and maintaining a clean and organized bar area.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. Interact with guests, take orders, and provide recommendations. Maintain knowledge of drink recipes and menu items. Check IDs to ensure legal drinking age. Handle cash, tabs, and payments accurately. Keep the bar stocked and clean throughout shifts. Follow all health, safety, and alcohol regulations. Work well with servers and kitchen staff.

REQUIREMENTS

Previous bartending experience. Strong communication and customer service skills. Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays. Basic math and cash handling skills. TABC and Food Handlers certification (current). TABC Seller/Server Certification. A happy, positive, charismatic disposition — you set the tone behind the bar. Well-groomed with good personal hygiene and attention to overall appearance. Reliable transportation to Pittsburg, TX.
