ROLE SUMMARY
The Banquet Bartender at Stockyards Station is responsible for providing exceptional beverage service for events and banquets, preparing and serving drinks to guests with genuine hospitality, professionalism, and efficiency. This role plays a key part in creating memorable guest experiences that reflect the vibrant spirit and history of the Fort Worth Stockyards.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Set up and breakdown banquet bars according to Event Order specifications. Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages accurately and efficiently using standard recipes and portion control. Greet and serve guests at the bar with warm, professional, and attentive hospitality. Assist servers with drink orders and coordinate service in a timely manner. Restock and maintain cleanliness of bar areas, tools, glassware, garnishes, and supplies throughout the event. Handle cash and credit card transactions, follow proper cash-handling and tip procedures, and reconcile cash bank at end of shift. Monitor guest alcohol consumption, exercise sound judgment, and notify management of any intoxicated or disruptive guests. Adhere to all safety, sanitation, and alcohol service guidelines as required by law and company policy. Communicate effectively with banquet captains, servers, kitchen staff, and management for seamless service execution. Transport and store bar equipment and product safely and efficiently. All other duties as assigned.
ENVIRONMENT / PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Ability to stand and move for up to 8 hours. Must be able to lift, carry, and move up to 50 lbs independently. Comfortable working in indoor and outdoor event settings including potential exposure to variable weather. Requires repetitive use of hands and arms, and ability to bend, twist, and reach overhead and below knees.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum 1 year of bartending experience in a high-volume, banquet, or hospitality setting. TABC Certification and Food Handler's Permit (or ability to obtain prior to start). Strong knowledge of standard bar recipes, drink presentation, and responsible alcohol service. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to remain calm under pressure and multitask in fast-paced event environments. Flexible availability — must be available evenings, weekends, and holidays.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
2+ years banquet bartending experience in hospitality, hotel, or special events. Experience working in historic, cultural, or destination venues. Knowledge of craft cocktails, regional spirits, and Texas wines is a plus.
