Bartender Start Date:
Immediate Hire Shifts available: Friday, Saturday, Sunday with occasional events throughout the week/weekend and occasional holidays.Background:
Fort Worth's Acre Distilling Co. is located in historic downtown in what used to be the notorious "Hell's Half Acre" red light district- "The Acre" if you were a local. From the late 1860s until Prohibition in 1920, the Acre hosted guests like Butch Cassidy, the Sundance Kid, Wyatt Earp, Doc Holiday, Bat Masterson, and Longhair Jim to name a few. Today we host a more savory lineup, featuring our award winning collection of spirits. As a distillery we produce over 20 different spirits
- 3 vodkas, 3 gins, 5 whiskies, rum and several flavored items from which we have developed an extensive cocktail list.
Bartender Roles & Responsibilities:
A bartender is responsible for providing a positive and knowledgable guest experience. Taking beverage orders from customers and serving drinks as requested, paying extreme attention to detail. Professional appearance required.Job Duties:
- Keeping a well-stocked bar
- Cleaning the bar, tables, chairs, and work area to maintain a sanitary environment
- Preparing and serving food
- Complying with all food and beverage regulations
- Limiting customer problems by restricting alcohol intake and attempting to curtail inappropriate behavior
- Collecting money for drinks served and providing change as needed
Desired Qualities:
- Service oriented; exceeding customers' expectations to keep them returning.
- Acute attention to environment, presentation and service detail.
- A high regard for "the basics" done well and an understanding that the Acre caters to a diverse clientele.
Qualifications:
- TABC & Food Handlers Certifications
- 1 year Bartending experience (Cocktail knowledge preffered)
- Fri-Sun Availability
- Team player attitude
- Communication & Customer service skills
