Stumpy's Restaurant, a popular lakefront dining destination on Lake Granbury, is seeking an experienced and customer-focused Bartender to join our team. The Bartender is responsible for preparing and serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages while delivering excellent customer service in a fast-paced, friendly environment. Key Responsibilities Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to recipes and quality standards Greet customers promptly and provide friendly, professional service Take beverage orders accurately and efficiently Verify customer identification and ensure compliance with Texas alcohol service laws Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked bar area Handle cash, credit, and electronic payments using a POS system Monitor guest consumption and promote responsible alcohol service Clean bar equipment, glassware, and work areas regularly Restock bar supplies, mixers, garnishes, and ice Assist servers and front-of-house staff as needed Follow all health, safety, and sanitation guidelines Perform opening and closing duties as assigned by management Qualifications & Skills Previous bartending experience preferred Knowledge of basic cocktail preparation, beer, and wine Strong customer service and communication skills Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment Dependable, punctual, and professional demeanor Basic math and cash-handling skills Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 40 pounds Must be at least 18 years of age (or as required by Texas law) TABC Certification preferred or willingness to obtain Work Schedule Full-time and part-time positions available Must be available evenings, weekends, and holidays Flexible scheduling based on business needs Work Environment Fast-paced lakefront restaurant and bar setting Frequent interaction with customers Standing, lifting, and continuous movement throughout shift Compensation & Benefits Competitive pay based on experience (plus tips, if applicable) Employee meal discounts Opportunities for advancement Positive, team-oriented work environment
