  • Part-time The role… At Ironclad Inn a Server and/or Bartender is responsible for understanding, discussing and educating guests all menu items, allergies associated (if applicable) while also presenting an approachable and elevated experience by following Ironclad Inn Service Standards.
The Server and/or Bartender plays a crucial role in ensuring the success of service and guest satisfaction. Also, collaborates with our team members and completes with pre-service and post-service duties, accurately entering orders in to POS and being attentive during service to support additional guest requests. A successful Server and/or Bartender maintains a positive and influential attitude, is detail oriented, process driven and flexible while working under pressure to ensure seamless communication through the Front of House (FOH) and Back of House (BOH) staff. Main Duties Develop and maintain professional relationships with all coworkers and management as well as complete checklists on all trained processes learned in training Positively influence guests experience by elevating the dining experience with food and drink pairing options and discussing specials to drive sales through consistent and approachable communication and the highest level of service in accordance with Ironclad Inn Standards Maintain communication and advise Management and Executive Chef on any allergies or potential red flags encountered throughout the night to mitigate any forecasted risk Adhere to health and safety policies as we all as Company policies, procedures, standards, and local, ABC, and federal laws as applicable Accommodate special requests from guests or alternative solution that better suites business needs or advise management to further assess and provide option Ensure food orders are finished plated and appropriately served to guests Assist runners and bussers when possible and service bar tickets to support all table orders Clean and stock server cabinet and bar area Knowledge of the menu, with the ability to make suggestions when asked by guests Required Skills/Qualifications Minimum of 1+ year experience in similar capacity Thrive in fast-paced, high-volume environments and maintain calm, through quickly and effectively problem solving under pressure Must be hospitable, approachable, passionate about customer service and respectful towards colleagues and guests Must be able to demonstrate competency as outlined in training Must be able to work flexible shifts and schedules, including weekends and holidays as needed Ability to take direction, work in team environment and autonomously POS knowledge Physical Requirements Must be able to seize, grasp, turn and hold objects with hands Must be able to make periodical fast paced movements Must be able to move, pull, carry or lift at least 20 pounds Must be able to occasionally kneel, bend, crouch and climb stairs Must be able to perform physical activities such as lifting, cleaning and stooping Must be able to stand, walk, lift and bend for long periods of time
