Job Description

Are you a beverage professional who has a passion for mixology and hospitality? Do you enjoy working in an upscale, fine dining atmosphere? Are you efficient and effective in both high volume situations, as well as those that require service excellence in full dining and lounge-style settings? If this sounds like you, then we would love to have you join our team! The Commonwealth Club is a private "city club" in downtown Richmond, VA. The Club's legacy is rooted in its reputation for impeccable, gracious service, and an outstanding culinary program. We are looking for an experienced bartender who is accustomed to providing a high level of service while subsequently making excellent cocktails. Our bartenders are part of a team of loyal staff dedicated to excellence in customer service. They have a strong attention to detail, the ability to multi-task, and excel at quickly establishing appropriate rapport with the members. The ideal candidate possesses the following attributes:

Comfortable working with high-end clientele

Requirements:

Wine knowledge
Minimum of 2 years of recent experience in full-service fine dining restaurant as a server or bartender
Minimum of 1 year of restaurant bartending experience
Exceptional communication & interpersonal skills
Clean cut appearance suitable for a traditional work environment
Works flexible hours as required including nights (Monday - Saturday)
Reliable transportation and ability to consistently report for work on time
Ability to stand for long periods of time and lift up to 35 lbs as needed Pay +

Perks :

hourly rate plus tips; employee meals and onsite parking provided.

Schedule :

Hours will vary based on availability and volume. Part-time schedules typically include 3-4 shifts per week. The Club is open Monday - Saturday and some holidays. It is closed on Sundays.
