The Ideal candidate has strong communication and organization skills and excels in a fast-paced environment. Experience in restaurants is required, experience in hospitality is preferred. Must be 21+.
Responsibilities:
Greets members and their guests and anticipates their needs Prepare room for dining by clothing tables and setting decorations, condiments, candles, napkins, service plates and utensils Take accurate food and drink orders using a POS system and communicate order details to the kitchen staff as needed Protect establishment and members/guests by adhering to sanitation, safety and alcohol beverage control policies Help members/guests select food and beverages by presenting menu; offering cocktails; suggesting courses; explaining the chef's specialties; identifying appropriate wines; answering food preparation questions Stay updated on current menu choices, specialties and menu deviations, knowing if the kitchen staff is running out of any items, etc. Transmit orders to bar and kitchen by recording members/guests' choices and identify special dietary needs and special requests Serve food and drink orders to members/guests Respond to additional members/guests requirements by inquiring of needs; observing dining process Maintain table setting by removing courses as completed; replenishing utensils; refilling water glasses; being alert to members/guest spills or other special needs Properly open and pour wine at the table Issuing bills; accepting payment; delivering bill and payment to host; returning change or credit card and signature slip to members/guests Provide a welcoming phone greeting when answering phones Convey menu information over the phone to members/guestsand give accurate estimate of delivery time Perform basic cleaning tasks as needed or directed by supervisor Fill in for absent staff as needed Assist with special events as needed Maintains a professional appearance Promptly address customer service issues and refer customers to management when necessary Provide excellent customer service to everyone who visits
Meridian Valley Country Club Qualifications:
Previous serving experience required Excellent communication skills required Positive interpersonal skills required Must speak English fluently and be able to write in basic English Food Handlers Card Class 12 mixologist permit Present a positive, professional image Must be self-motivated and customer service oriented Must be reliable and have flexibility with scheduling
Pay:
$25.00 - $30.00 per hour
