Job Description

Emerald Heights offers competitive wages based on experience. Emerald Heights, is a 5 star retirement community located in Redmond, Washington. We are dedicated to providing our residents the best senior living experience in the Puget Sound area and offer a full continuum of care from independent living to assisted living, skilled nursing and memory care. The beautiful restaurants at Emerald Heights, are the highlight of the campus. The Independent Dining Room Bartender/Server is responsible for Bar and table service in the residential dining rooms.
Schedule:
4-5 days a week (Thursday to Monday but some flexibility on days off), Day and Night weekend Availability
REQUIRED.

Pay:
$21-$23/hour We offer: 100% paid medical, dental and vision, employer paid life insurance and AD&D for employees working 30+ hours/week (Option to buy-up if desired). In addition, we offer a Flexible Spending account for medical and childcare reimbursements with a $500.00 rollover feature (No Rollover on childcare) AND the option to purchase Long Term disability insurance. Eligibility begins the first of the month following 30 days of employment. Employees are able to enroll in our company's 403(B) plan (Eligibility on 403b - 20+ hours per week) - We match 50 cents for every dollar saved up to 10% of your annual salary. Matching begins the first of the quarter following 1 year of employment. Full-time employees are eligible to accrue up to 16 paid time off days, 6 paid holidays and 3 personal days. Pro-rated paid time off is available to part-time employees. Essential Functions:
Bartender:
Greet guests, take food and beverage orders, and provide menu recommendations. Ensure timely and accurate delivery of food and drinks to guests. Maintain knowledge of the menu, including daily specials and ingredient information. Provide excellent customer service by anticipating guest needs and addressing concerns. Process payments and manage tabs accurately. Prepare alcoholic beverages and garnishes for the bar rail and dining room service well. Provide food delivery to residents as required. Provide alcohol service at mobile bar for catering events on site. Assist Lead bartender with inventory, garnish prep, pars and development of seasonal beverages.
Host:
Greet and seat guests in a friendly and welcoming manner. Manage the waitlist and coordinate seating arrangements. Answer phone calls and make reservations. Ensure guests have a positive first impression and direct them to their tables efficiently. Maintain cleanliness and organization at the host stand and entryway. Server/Café
Server:
Greet guests, take food and beverage orders, and provide menu recommendations. Ensure timely and accurate delivery of food and drinks to guests. Maintain knowledge of the menu, including daily specials and ingredient information. Provide excellent customer service by anticipating guest needs and addressing concerns. Process payments and manage tabs accurately. Prepare beverages including coffee, smoothies, etc., along with food prep for the café line. Provide food delivery to residents as required.
Food Runner/Busser:
Clear and reset tables promptly after each guest departs. Maintain cleanliness and organization of dining areas, including floors and restrooms. Assist servers in delivering food and beverages to guests. Refill water glasses and ensure utensils and condiments are readily available. Communicate effectively with the kitchen staff and servers to ensure timely service. Deliver food and beverages to customers in a timely and professional manner, ensuring satisfaction.
Expo:
Ensure that food orders are correctly assembled and ready for delivery to the dining room. Communicate effectively with the kitchen to ensure accuracy and timeliness of orders. Verify that all items are present on the order and check for proper presentation. Assist servers in delivering food to tables, ensuring the quality of the dining experience. Maintain a clean and organized expo line, including plates, silverware, and condiments.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
Active Food Handler's card or ability to obtain. Must possess a valid class 12 MAST Permit. Prior experience in crafting cocktails in a full-service bar or restaurant. Basic wine and beer knowledge. Ability to follow oral and written instructions. Ability to perform simple arithmetic. Courteous, gracious, and tactful. Pleasant, cheerful and service oriented. Genuine interest in working with older adults. Ability to work well with others; team oriented. Ability to maintain confidentiality. Neat and professional in appearance. Required to work a minimum of two weekend days per month. Available to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends and holidays. Regular, dependable, and reliable attendance. Excellent English communications skills both verbal and written. All Emerald Heights employees must pass a criminal background check and other pre-employment requirements.
