ABOUT THE ROLE
Fisherman's Restaurant & Bar is seeking a skilled and personable Seasonal Bartender to join our team for the upcoming season. As a Bartender, you'll be the heartbeat of our bar — crafting quality drinks, creating a welcoming atmosphere, and delivering the warm, attentive service that defines the Fisherman's experience. If you love the energy of a busy bar, have a passion for hospitality, and take pride in your craft, we'd love to meet you.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Prepare and serve cocktails, beer, wine, and non-alcoholic beverages accurately and efficiently
  • Greet bar guests warmly, present menus, and guide them through drink and food options with enthusiasm
  • Upsell cocktail specials, premium spirits, and food pairings in a natural and guest-friendly way
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked bar throughout each shift
  • Accurately process payments and maintain responsible cash handling practices
  • Monitor guest alcohol consumption and responsibly refuse service when necessary, in compliance with state law
  • Collaborate with servers, kitchen staff, and management to ensure smooth, seamless service flow
  • Handle guest concerns calmly and professionally, escalating to management when appropriate
REQUIREMENTS
  • Prior bartending or hospitality experience preferred
  • Must be of legal age to serve alcohol (per state law)
  • Valid MAST permit required (or willingness to obtain prior to start date)
  • Food handler's certificate required (or willingness to obtain)
  • Ability to stand and move for extended periods
  • Ability to lift 30 lbs
  • Strong communication, multitasking, and interpersonal skills
  • Weekend and holiday availability required
