Job Description
The Cove by Ackley BrandsService Staff Seattle, WAThe Cove Service Staff plays a key role in delivering exceptional guest experience by providing knowledgeable and attentive service. This position requires a passion for wine, beer, hospitality, and creating a welcoming atmosphere for guests. Service staff will assist with table service, wine and beer recommendations, as well as food pairings while ensuring a seamless and enjoyable guest experience.
Guide guests through the wine and beer selection process with confidence and knowledge.
Take food and drink orders accurately, ensuring proper communication with the kitchen and bar.
Serve beverage and food in accordance with presentation and pairing guidelines.
Engage with guests by sharing wine knowledge, making recommendations, and answering questions.
Maintain an inviting and polished dining environment, including setting tables and clearing as needed.
Educate guests on wine pairings, special selections, and featured offerings.
Follow proper wine service techniques, including pouring and bottle presentation.
Assist in wine tastings, special events, and private dining experiences.
Monitor tables, anticipate guest needs, and address concerns promptly.
Restock wine, glassware, and service stations as needed.
Follow opening and closing procedures, including side work and cleaning tasks.
Uphold all health and safety regulations related to food and beverage service.
Strong knowledge of wine and a willingness to learn more (certifications a plus).Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Must be at least [minimum legal serving age] and possess required alcohol service permits/certifications.

Key ResponsibilitiesGuest Experience & Service:
Provide attentive, professional guest service.Guide guests through the wine and beer selection process with confidence and knowledge.

Wine & Beverage Knowledge:
Maintain an up-to-date understanding of the wine list, including regions, varietals, and tasting notes.Educate guests on wine pairings, special selections, and featured offerings.

Assist in wine tastings, special events, and private dining experiences.
Team Collaboration & Operations:
Work closely with Staff and Kitchen leads to ensure efficient service.Monitor tables, anticipate guest needs, and address concerns promptly.
Restock wine, glassware, and service stations as needed.
Follow opening and closing procedures, including side work and cleaning tasks.
Uphold all health and safety regulations related to food and beverage service.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Prior experience in restaurants, wine bar, or hospitality service preferred.Strong knowledge of wine and a willingness to learn more (certifications a plus).Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Physical Requirements:
