Our specialty, Xiao Long Bao (小籠包) —meaning "little dumpling in a basket"—dates back over 1,000 years to China's Song Dynasty. This iconic steamed dumpling, cooked traditionally in bamboo baskets, has been perfected over centuries by different regions of China and is now lovingly crafted in our kitchens to offer an unparalleled authentic experience. Our commitment to quality, exceptional service, and creating memorable dining experiences is at the heart of everything we do. We take pride in bringing the rich heritage of Taiwanese cuisine, ensuring every bite tells a story of tradition, passion, and culinary excellence. In this position, the bartender will be handling all aspects of bartending and ensuring that each customer has a positive experience when visiting our restaurant. Job Duties Provides a pleasant drinking experience to customers. Serves drinks while maintaining a clean and sanitary bar area. Attends to the detail and presentation of each order. Prepares and maintains ingredients by following recipes. Adheres to proper alcohol handling, sanitation, and safety procedures, and maintains appropriate dating, labeling, and rotation of all beverage items. Coordinates daily supply inventory for bar and submits orders to supervisor; assists with receipt of deliveries. Contributes to daily, holiday, and theme drink menus in collaboration with supervisor. Ensures smooth operation of bar services during absence of supervisor. Completes cleaning according to daily and weekly schedules, including dishwashing as needed. Assists with orienting new employees to their work area. Listens to customer complaints and suggestions and resolves complaints. Instructs personnel in use of new equipment and cleaning methods and provides efficient and effective methods of maintaining work area. Participates in and/or contributes to programs, committees, or projects designed to improve quality of service and employee productivity. Experience Qualifications Demonstrated knowledge of and skill in ability to operate standard beverage service equipment safely and effectively Adaptability Decision-making Customer service Oral communication Planning, problem solving, and teamwork Developing budgets Self-motivated High energy Level Multi-tasking Ability to interact with both internal and external stakeholders Specific finance and/or accounting knowledge would be beneficial Experienced with handling multiple entities and intercompany transactions Intermediate knowledge of Excel Familiar with inventory management system, ideally within the F&B industry Education Requirements High school diploma or GED 2 years of bar or restaurant experience to include drink preparation is preferred Current beverage service certification or other certification as required by federal/state/local law Familiar with point-of-sale computers and software Comfortable using a computer, navigating Windows, Microsoft Office, and Outlook Email What we offer Competitive hourly wage + tips Free or discounted shift meals Paid time off Opportunity to enroll in medical, dental, and vision insurance plans (eligibility requirements apply) Training and development support We are an equal opportunity employer to all employees and applicants.
