Full Job Description About Us:

Nitro is a craft cocktail and beverage lounge located at 502 W. Washington on the lower level of the Avenir apartment complex. Our bartenders will work with nitrogen-infusion, meticulous craft cocktails, and coffee while delivering an experience in an inclusive atmosphere.

Position Summary:

Preparing alcoholic or non-alcoholic beverages for craft cocktail lounge patrons. Assessing customers' needs and preferences and making recommendations while being inclusive and respectful.

Essential Functions:

Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions: Full bar service including coffee, wine, beer and crafted cocktails Check customers' identification to ensure they are of legal drinking age in accordance with WI state laws Maintaining inventory and bar supplies Hand-craft drinks in a quick and efficient manner A gracious, friendly, patient and helpful attitude towards guests Ability to multi-task and work in a busy environment Flexible schedule with full availability on nights and weekends Working knowledge of beverage laws and regulations

Job Requirements:

A thorough knowledge of mixology, wines, liquor and cocktails is required. Ability to utilize POS software Great attitude and positive outlook Strong customer service Ability to stand for a long time and move quickly Excellent oral communication skills required Relevant training or certificate Night and weekend availability and at least 10 hours per week

Qualifications:

2 years craft cocktail experience or 4 years bartending experience Reliable transportation Active bartending license in the state of WI or able to obtain prior to hire

Preferred Experience:

Knowledge and/or prior experience with mixology Experience with balancing flavors and batching recipes Coffee/barista knowledge or previous experience
