In this dynamic role, you will oversee the technical aspects of sound, video and lighting for various events while delivering outstanding customer service as a bar manager. Your interest and expertise in event planning, hospitality, and audio/visual enagement will ensure every gathering is memorable, lively, and flawlessly executed. This paid position/or internship for college credit offers an exciting opportunity to combine technical skills with hospitality flair in a vibrant environment. Duties Manage all audio/visual equipment for events, ensuring optimal audio/visual quality and smooth operation throughout the event duration Collaborate with venue staff and promoters to plan and execute event setups, including sound checks, lighting arrangements, and stage management Serve as the primary bar manager during events, providing excellent guest service while upselling beverages and promoting special offers to enhance revenue Assist in event marketing efforts by promoting upcoming events through social media, signage, and direct engagement to boost attendance Coordinate with catering teams and venue staff to ensure seamless event flow, including setup, service, and breakdown processes Negotiate contracts with vendors for equipment rentals or additional services as needed Maintain detailed records of event logistics, budgets, equipment inventory, and client preferences to ensure consistency and accountability Experience Proven experience in event management or events coordination within hospitality or entertainment settings Solid background in audio/visual equipment operation; is highly desirable. Demonstrated skills in bartending with a focus on customer service excellence and upselling techniques Familiarity with event marketing strategies and promotional activities to attract attendees Excellent negotiation, organizational, and time management skills to handle multiple events simultaneously Ability to communicate effectively with clients, vendors, team members, and guests in a lively environment Prior experience working within restaurant, hotel, or catering environments is preferred; fundraising or guest services experience is a plus Join us to create unforgettable events where exceptional sound quality meets outstanding hospitality!
