Compensation $16-20/hour Summary of Position The Bellman Supervisor oversees the daily operations of the bell, door, and shuttle services to ensure a seamless arrival and departure experience for all guests. This position is responsible for leading the bell staff, maintaining the shuttle schedule and condition, and ensuring that every guest interaction reflects Marriott's high service standards.
Essential Job Functions:
Supervise, train, and support bell staff, doormen, and shuttle drivers to ensure consistent, efficient, and courteous service. Oversee guest arrivals and departures, ensuring luggage handling, valet, and door services are executed professionally and promptly. Schedule daily shifts for Bellmen and ensure adequate coverage for all peak arrival and departure times. Maintain upkeep of the hotel shuttle, including routine cleaning, safety inspections, and coordination of maintenance or repairs as needed. Monitor shuttle schedules to ensure timely guest pick-ups and drop-offs while maintaining accurate records. Coordinate with the Front Desk, Concierge, and housekeeping teams to deliver timely guest requests and special accommodations. Handle guest concerns or service recovery opportunities promptly and professionally. Ensure all associates follow Marriott brand standards, grooming policies, and safety guidelines. Conduct daily line-ups, performance evaluations, and coaching sessions with the team. Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming lobby and porte-cochere area at all times.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required; hospitality degree preferred. Minimum 1-2 years of supervisory experience in hotel guest services or front office operations. Strong leadership, organization, and communication skills. Ability to lift and move luggage up to 50 lbs. and stand for extended periods. Valid driver's license and clean driving record (required). Excellent guest relations and problem-solving abilities. Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Marriott brand experience preferred.
Other Requirements:
Knowledge of English and local language Building and maintaining strong relationships with guests and associates. Ensuring compliance with all safety, security, and brand operational standards. Promoting a positive and team-oriented work environment focused on guest satisfaction and excellence. Ability to handle conflict situations in a professional manner Be well groomed and conform to the hotel's dress code Safety Awareness Maintain safety by adhering to safety policies, being responsible to report all accidents immediately. Support all safety programs. Proceed with caution when walking on slippery floors. Ensure proper safety instructions are given before operating any equipment.
Notice:
ARLLC, operating as Augusta Marriott at the Convention Center, function seven days a week, twenty-four hours a day. You as an associate must realize this fact and be aware that at times, it may be necessary to move you from your accustomed shift, as business demands. In addition, you understand that business determines the amount of hours you work, and that some weeks may be scheduled for less than forty hours, and on other weeks you may be scheduled to work more than forty hours per week.
