Ice Attendant

Are you passionate about ice sports and providing exceptional customer service? Blackhawks Ice Center is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Ice Attendant to join our team. In this role, you will be a key part of ensuring a safe, clean, and enjoyable experience for all our guests, contributing to the vibrant atmosphere of our facility.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide exceptional customer service and a welcoming atmosphere to all guests. Actively supervise public skating sessions and open play, ensuring adherence to safety rules and guest well-being. Manage the skate counter, assisting guests with skate rentals, fittings, and returns. Contribute to maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the ice rink facility, including the ice surface, common areas, and locker rooms. Perform routine maintenance, cleaning, and quality checks on rental skates and other equipment, ensuring they are in excellent condition. Develop a thorough understanding of all Blackhawks Ice Center programs, events, and offerings to effectively answer guest inquiries. Respond to guest needs and concerns promptly and professionally. Assist with various operational tasks as directed by management.

Qualifications:

Strong customer service and communication skills. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic. Comfortable working in a cold environment. Ability to skate proficiently is preferred. Prior experience in a customer-facing role is a plus. Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to stand, walk, and skate for extended periods. Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds. Comfortable working in varying temperatures, including cold ice rink conditions.
