Job Description

About Blade Blade (a Joby company!) is a rapidly growing global air mobility platform utilizing a technology-powered, asset light model with unrivaled brand recognition. Blade is focused on efforts to assist the aviation industry in order to accelerate its transition from conventional aircraft to quieter, cleaner Electric Vertical Aircraft ("EVA"), expand new air mobility routes, grow our network of captive passenger infrastructure, and continue to develop our consumer-to-cockpit technology stack. Role Overview This is a temporary, full-time position. We are seeking a dynamic and service-oriented Flier Experience Associate to join the BLADE team. In this guest-facing role, you will be the face of the brand, delivering exceptional hospitality and seamless service throughout every step of the flier journey. From greeting guests and managing check-ins to coordinating ground transportation and anticipating individual preferences, this role is key to creating a premium, personalized travel experience. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, exudes professionalism and warmth, and is passionate about delivering best-in-class service with meticulous attention to detail. Responsibilities Act as an ambassador of the brand by providing guests reservation updates, pertinent information, lists of BLADE amenities, ground transport recommendations, etc. as needed. Confirm all necessary information (using electronic tablets) such as passenger lists, flight status, as well as any other item that may support efficient and timely check-in processes. Manage inventory for the heliport to ensure all needed items are in stock for each flight. Ensure that any guest preferences are recorded on the passenger profile and are well introduced to the appropriate departments for follow-up. Direct or escort guests to their aircraft or ground transportation and provide help with luggage. Quickly adapt to nuances of working at different BLADE stations in the Hamptons. Make sure any irregularities and discrepancies are recorded on the departmental Slack channel and brought to the attention of the appropriate team leader. Exhibit high levels of discretion by keeping all flier, guest, and company data confidential. Organize and maintain the front desk/counter, ensuring all materials and supplies are readily available and accessible to expedite smooth travel in/out procedures. Effectively communicate with pilots, ground crew, flight attendants, and potentially third-party personnel using radios and headsets. Familiarize yourself with all BLADE services and departments, to be able to address, assist and actively upsell to guests. Prioritize safety in everything you do and report all incidents immediately to senior management. Arrange ground transportation for passengers for upcoming flights and ensure the car is waiting/staged for them when they land. Perform walk-around inspections, basic safety checks on ground vehicles and aircrafts, and ensure ramp areas are clear of FOD (Foreign Object Debris).
