Job Description

This is a temporary position. The 2026 Southwest Washington Fair takes place August 11-16. In addition to the dates of the fair applicants must be available on July 15th, 2026, for a hiring event, as well as August 10th, 2026, for a training shift. Shift hours and availability may fluctuate based on business need leading up to, during and after the Fair. Under limited supervision, assists in welcoming and greeting guests to the Southwest Washington Fair. Tasks include but are not limited to: Taking tickets from fair attendees. Ensuring fairgoers receive a stamp upon entrance. Keeping an accurate count of persons entering and exiting the gate. Answers questions from fairgoers and gives directions as needed. Escorting ticket sellers to and from gates. Work is performed in and around Lewis County Fairground facilities; subject to sitting, standing, walking. Must be 16 years of age or older Ability to speak and write in the English language
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Prior fair experience Ability to: Work cooperatively with others. Work without supervision for periods of time. Maintain a neat, clean and professional appearance. Communicate effectively both orally and in writing. Follow instructions.
