JOB DESCRIPTION

A Food Server Assistant supports waitstaff in the restaurant by performing tasks like clearing and setting tables, refilling drinks, and assisting with guest requests. They play a crucial role in ensuring efficient service and a positive dining experience.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Setting tables with appropriate silverware, glassware and dishes Refilling water glasses, coffee cups and other beverages Removing dishes and resetting tables for next guests Ensuring the dining area is stocked with necessary supplies like napkins, condiments and silverware, centerpieces Assisting servers with tasks such as running food to tables, delivering drink refills and providing additional items Answering basic guest questions and assisting with their requests Cleaning the dining area and ensuring it is tidy and organized

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

One year of prior food and beverage experience preferred Prior guest relations training Knowledge of proper food handling Strong written/verbal communications skills Ability to perform assigned duties with attention to detail, speed, accuracy, follow-through, courtesy, cooperativeness and work with minimum supervision Punctuality and reliable attendance are required Proper food safety training and certification as described by law
