The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced, outdoor hospitality environment while supporting excellent guest service, maintaining strong attention to detail, and assisting with smooth poolside operations. Pool Runners are expected to create a welcoming and elevated guest experience through professionalism, urgency, cleanliness, teamwork, and genuine hospitality. Job Description Guest Service & Hospitality Deliver friendly, professional, and attentive service to all guests in the pool area while creating a positive and enjoyable experience. Maintain strong hospitality standards and assist guests with general requests in a prompt and professional manner. Anticipate guest needs by keeping poolside areas clean, organized, and properly stocked. Communicate guest concerns, special requests, or service needs to servers, bartenders, or management as appropriate. Support a welcoming and relaxed poolside atmosphere through genuine engagement and a positive attitude. Service Support & Execution Deliver food, beverages, supplies, and service items to guests and team members accurately and efficiently. Assist servers and bartenders with running orders, clearing items, restocking, and maintaining overall service flow. Ensure food and beverage items are delivered with proper presentation, accuracy, and quality standards. Maintain awareness of guest areas and respond quickly to service needs during busy poolside periods. Assist with setup, breakdown, and organization of poolside service areas before, during, and after service. Operational Responsibilities Maintain cleanliness and organization of poolside tables, chairs, service stations, trash areas, and surrounding guest areas. Clear used plates, cups, glassware, trays, trash, and other items from the pool area in a timely and safe manner. Restock supplies including napkins, utensils, condiments, menus, water, towels, and other service-related items as needed. Follow food safety, sanitation, workplace safety, and poolside safety standards at all times. Work safely in wet, outdoor, and high-traffic areas while maintaining urgency and professionalism. Communicate effectively with servers, bartenders, bussers, kitchen team members, and management to ensure smooth operations and guest satisfaction. Teamwork & Professionalism Work collaboratively with all team members to maintain operational efficiency and service standards. Demonstrate professionalism, accountability, and a positive attitude in all guest and team interactions. Adapt quickly to changing business levels, weather conditions, guest needs, and operational priorities. Support the team during high-volume periods by assisting wherever needed. Consistently follow company policies, grooming standards, uniform standards, and service expectations. Requirements Experience Previous hospitality, restaurant, hotel, poolside service, food runner, busser, or customer service experience preferred. Experience working in a fast-paced or high-volume environment preferred. Previous experience in an outdoor guest service environment is a plus. Hospitality & Service Skills Strong guest service and communication skills. Ability to maintain composure, professionalism, and hospitality during busy service periods. Strong sense of urgency, teamwork, and attention to detail. Ability to anticipate needs and support both guests and team members efficiently. Knowledge & Abilities Basic food and beverage knowledge preferred. Ability to learn and follow poolside service procedures, sanitation standards, and operational expectations. Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team. Ability to safely carry trays, supplies, food, beverages, and service items in an outdoor pool environment. Must be reliable, punctual, and able to follow direction from supervisors and management. Other Information Work Environment Fast-paced, outdoor poolside hospitality environment. Requires working around wet surfaces, outdoor temperatures, sun exposure, and high guest traffic. Requires flexibility to work mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends, holidays, and peak business periods. Physical Requirements Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time. Ability to bend, reach, lift, carry, push, and pull as needed throughout the shift. Ability to carry trays, food, beverages, supplies, and service items safely and efficiently.
