Restaurant Busser

SUMMARY:

To assist all waitpersons and other food and beverage personnel in serving meals and drinks.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Clear and set tables as per Resort standards. Support waitstaff in providing prompt and attentive food and beverage service. Help maintain adequate supplies for all requests from guests. Assist in providing a clean, safe, and sanitary dining room for guests. Assist all other personnel in setting and clearing rooms for upcoming events. Ensure all services to guests are provided in a highly professional and efficient manner with strong attention to detail. Support safe work habits and contributes to a safe working environment. Consistently come to work regularly and on time. Support safe work habits and contribute to a safe working environment at all times. Follow directions, get along with co-workers and supervisors, treat co-workers, supervisors and guests with respect and courtesy, contributes to a positive and rewarding team environment and refrains from abusive, insubordinate and/or violent behavior. Perform other related duties as requested by the supervisor.

QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS & ABILITIES

Listed below are the qualifications that represent the knowledge, skills, and/or ability to perform this job successfully: Must provide prompt and cordial service to all guests. Working knowledge of, or the ability to learn, point-of-sale computer systems. Must be reliable, responsible and able to work well under pressure. Ability to understand and carry out written and verbal instructions. Apply critical thinking to solve problems in standardized situations. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Must be able to work independently. Must meet legal age requirements for the position.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

Equivalent combination of education and experience. Prior resort and/or hospitality experience preferred. High school diploma or equal to a GED.
