As well as performing other duties that do not involve cooking. Essential Functions

• Production/cooking of R D samples
• Product set-up, ability to measure out & set-up ingredients for recipe formulation.
• Evaluate and cook manufactured food samples for company's morning meeting.
• Kitchen organization to include any necessary general cleaning.
• Assist Chef with recipe development process.
• Ability to work in a team environment.
• Recognize food products and raw materials needed for food preparation.
• Follow written food preparation recipes and prepare them in accordance with USDA and HACCP regulations and company standards
• Ensure food safety and quality procedures are followed to prevent in process product defects and potential contamination concerns.
• Has basic training and understanding of plant GMP's, hygiene, hand washing and sanitizing, allergen controls, and the requirement to inform management as an issue is identified.
• Works effectively to ensure food safety and quality are maintained.
• Ability to work in a team environment.
• Ability to work independently with initiative.
• Ability to appear for work on time.
• Ability to follow directions from a supervisor/manager.
• Perform other related duties and special projects as assigned Qualifications
• Capable of communicating in English, orally and in written form.
• Spanish Language knowledge is a plus.
• Very detail oriented and organized personality
• Willingness to learn, adapt and overcome obstacles.
• Passionate about food Working conditions/Physical requirements
• Cold, wet, and hot areas
• Work an 8-hour shift and some overtime as needed.
• Stand for extended periods of time up to 8 hours.
• Some lifting up to 30 lbs.
