The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our café, providing exceptional customer service, and maintaining high standards of food safety and sanitation. This position requires a blend of culinary experience, time management skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a team-oriented atmosphere. Responsibilities Prepare food items according to established recipes and guidelines, ensuring quality and presentation standards are met. Operate point-of-sale (POS) systems, including Aloha POS and Micros POS, to process customer orders accurately. Provide excellent customer service by engaging with patrons, taking orders, and addressing any inquiries or concerns. Assist in upselling menu items to enhance the customer experience and drive sales. Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, adhering to sanitation and food safety protocols. Handle cash transactions efficiently while ensuring accurate cash handling practices. Support kitchen operations by bussing tables, assisting with food preparation, and maintaining inventory levels as needed. Collaborate with team members to ensure timely service during peak hours. Skills Strong background in food preparation and handling within a quick service or fast food restaurant setting. Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS is preferred. Proven culinary experience with an emphasis on food safety and sanitation practices. Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively in a busy environment. Ability to engage customers with strong sales techniques and upselling strategies. Proficient in basic math for cash handling and retail math applications. Previous experience in the food industry or restaurant environment is highly desirable. Strong customer service skills with a focus on creating positive dining experiences. Knowledge of grocery store operations can be an asset for this role.
