Job Description

Food Service Worker Valley Presbyterian Hospital Support Patient Care Through Nutrition & Service At Valley Presbyterian Hospital, our food service team plays an important role in patient satisfaction and overall care. We're seeking a dependable Food Service Worker to support kitchen operations, food preparation, and service while maintaining a clean and safe environment. What You'll Do Prepare, portion, and serve food for patients, cafeteria, and catering services Set up and deliver patient meal trays accurately and efficiently Clean and maintain kitchen, cafeteria, and work areas Operate kitchen equipment such as dishwashers, slicers, and blenders Wash and store dishes, utensils, and equipment Stock supplies and transport items as needed Support tray line operations and assist with menu preparation Perform diet office duties including answering phones and processing menus Follow infection control, safety, and sanitation standards Assist with cross-training and support different assignments as needed What You Bring Strong teamwork and communication skills Ability to work in a fast-paced environment Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions Commitment to cleanliness, safety, and customer service Requirements High school diploma or equivalent preferred or related experience 1 year of food service experience preferred Ability to obtain LA City Fire Card and MOAB certification within 30 days Why VPH Mission-driven healthcare organization Supportive and team-oriented environment Opportunity for growth and cross-training Meaningful role supporting patient experience Apply today to support patient care through food service at VPH.
