Job Summary

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

ENTRANCE QUALIFICATIONS

Any combination equivalent to: Ability to read and write. One (1) year of food service experience is desirable. Ability to pass the District Proficiency Examination at the level appropriate to the job classification.

PHYSICAL ABILITIES

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Lifting, pushing and/or pulling which does not exceed 50 pounds and is an infrequent aspect of the job; wear protective apparel including goggles, face protectors, aprons, shoes and oxygen breathing apparatus; work around loud noise; work around moving mechanical parts; work around electrical current; standing and walking for extended periods of time; dexterity of hands and fingers to operate kitchen equipment; carrying, pushing or pulling food trays, carts, materials and supplies; reaching overhead, above the shoulders and horizontally; seeing to assure proper quantities of food; bending at the waist.
