To interact with guests to ensure functions are up to guest expectations. To supervise the banquet team, complete accounting procedures, departmental daily reports, and inventory functions, and when required, work with the Culinary, Sales, and Catering teams. To provide service to guests and fellow team members in a manner which meets or exceeds Handlery Hotels' standards and to comply with established company and departmental policies and procedures.

% Oversee assigned banquet events. Supervise the servers, bartenders, and housepersons, providing ongoing direction, training, and support, praising them and redirecting them as appropriate. Ensure adherence to all liquor liability laws. Communicate and interact with clients to ensure complete satisfaction. Use software (i.e. Maestro, Delphi), e-mail, and other internal reporting tools to effectively communicate with other departments. 30% Prepare daily event packages for the particular day. Attend pre-cons and BEO meetings, pre-service meetings, department meetings, training sessions and appropriate internal department meetings. Assist and prepare for all designated staff pre-shift meetings and conduct them as assigned. Close checks and complete designated reports at the end of the meeting or event. Other Regular attendance in conformance with the standards, which may be established from time to time, is essential to the successful performance of this position. Team members with irregular attendance will be subject to disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment. Due to the cyclical nature of the hospitality industry, team members may be required to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the property. In addition, attendance at all scheduled training sessions and meetings is required. Upon employment, all team members are required to fully comply with property rules and regulations for the safe and effective operation of the property's facilities and equipment. Team members who violate property rules and regulations will be subject to disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment.
SUPPORTIVE FUNCTIONS
In addition to performance of the essential functions, this position may be required to perform a combination of the following supportive functions, with the percentage of time performing each function to be solely determined by the manager based upon the particular requirements of the property. Complete daily team member assignments. Assist in weekly/ monthly inventories and ordering. Maintain cleanliness and organization of work area.

- Most work tasks are performed indoors. Temperature is moderate and controlled by hotel environmental systems.

- Must be able to lift and carry a tray with a maximum of 10 dinner plates.
- Must be able to hand carry a maximum of 4 plates (for Gourmet Service).

- Must be able to exert well-paced ability to reach other departments of the property on a timely basis.

QUALIFICATION STANDARDS
Education High school diploma or equivalent education is required. Experience Minimum of one year supervisory experience in a similar position in banquets is required. Licenses or Certificates Able to obtain and/or maintain any government required licenses, certificates, or permits applicable to the position. LEAD or TIPS Certification (or equivalent) Food Handler's Certification Grooming Team member must maintain a neat, clean and well-groomed appearance per Handlery Hotels' standards.
