POSITION SUMMARY
As a Food & Nutrition Service Worker, you will perform routine kitchen and dishroom tasks to support meal preparation, tray assembly, and general cleanliness in resident dining and kitchen areas. Your work will help ensure timely, sanitary food service and contribute to a safe, welcoming environment for residents and staff.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Maintain a friendly and efficient attitude toward residents, coworkers, and customers. Set up and organize assigned workstations in the kitchen or dishroom. Prepare, portion, assemble, and label food items for trayline service. Work in the dishroom by scraping trays, loading/unloading dish machines, and sorting silverware as needed. Clean tables, counters, kitchen equipment, and mop floors to maintain sanitation standards. Assist with catered events when required. Adhere strictly to all sanitation procedures and dispose of trash properly. Follow established safety and training protocols, complying with OSHA and local, state, and federal regulations. Understand and apply knowledge relevant to the specific needs of the elderly resident population. Maintain compliance with operational standards and complete required records and reports for government and accreditation compliance. Perform other duties as assigned to support kitchen and dining operations.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required. Ability to communicate clearly with residents and visitors. Ability to read, write, and comprehend English verbal and written instructions. Basic math skills required.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Ability to lift, push, pull a minimum of twenty (20) pounds. Ability to exert maximum muscle force to lift, push, pull or carry. Ability to use abdominal and lower back muscles over time without fatigue. Ability to stand and/or sit for extended periods. Ability to bend, stoop, stretch, twist, sit, and reach. Fine motor skills.
