Meiji America Inc. / D.F. Stauffer's Biscuit Co. is currently hiring, General Worker Bakery (GBW) for 1st, 2nd and 3rd Shift. Monday thru Friday plus Weekends as needed.
SATURDAY OR SUNDAY

(GBW): RATE Rate 1st shift: $18.40/hour Rate 2nd shift: $18.90/hour Rate 3rd shift: $19.90/hour HOURS Hours 1st shift: 7:00AM
  • 3:30PM Hours 2nd shift: 3:00PM
  • 11:30PM Hours 3rd shift: 11:00pm
  • 7:30AM
AVAILABILITY
Full-time position Schedule is 6 days per week; Saturday or Sunday availability required. Must be available to work weekends. Health insurance, dental insurance, vision insurance, life insurance and 401 k Pay time off.
GENERAL WORKER BAKERY
(GBW)
JOB SUMMARY
The primary function of a General Worker Bakery (GBW) is to supply raw materials and move finished products from the production line while keeping accurate counts of product produced. The GBW will work in packaging, processing or mixing as needed. Assignments may change daily.
FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES
Works well with others, fostering a team atmosphere. Maintains a clean, organized and safe work area at all times. Comply with all GMP requirements. Completes all necessary paperwork in a legible, accurate and timely manner. Order and maintain sufficient packaging material quantities from the warehouse to ensure no interruptions in manufacturing Fully knowledgeable of product packaging specification sheets and production schedules. Return all unused packaging materials to the warehouse after the completion of production orders which are properly secured and identified. Prepare and attach skid tags and other related documentation to finished product. Transport all pallets of finished goods to the warehouse. Maintain correct date codes on tape machines as required by product specifications. Catch, box and tag any product that goes to end dump. Accurately weights and reports scrap at the end of shift. Relieve other GBW's for break as needed. Provides back-up support to various departments including scaling batches, mixing batches and operating processing and packaging equipment. Trained to use applicable classes of Powered Industrial Trucks (PIT) and must maintain valid certification. Able to properly submit work orders as needed. Assist or oversee the training of new employees. Assist with changeovers, machine setup and cleaning. Ability to perform simple mathematical calculations. Ability to read and record written instructions from packaging specification and formula sheets. Perform SPC(computer) data entry according to established process control procedures and product specifications. Perform all appropriate Quality and Food Safety testing and documentation as required. Ability to work independently. Notify Supervisor of any issues. Must adhere/comply with all Company policies, procedures and practices. All other duties assigned.
ACCOUNTABILITY A
General Bakery Worker (GBW) will be accountable to the Production Supervisor for fulfillment of his or her duties. The performance of a GBW will be measured to the degree of his or her production levels and quality or work performed in these assigned areas.
EXPERIENCE
Food plant experience is helpful.
EDUCATION
High School or equivalent.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT
While performing the essential duties of this job, the employee must be able to stand, stoop, kneel, crouch and lift up to 50 lbs. and shared weight up to 100 lbs. Occasional exposure to airborne dust, high humidity and extremes of hot and cold are possible. Reasonable accommodations made be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
