No experience required! If you majored in Food Science or simply love cooking, we encourage you to apply! ・Understand the characteristics, functions, and pricing of raw materials, as well as our products and production methods, and identify customer requirements. ・Create product samples based on recipes. ・Input and manage various data. ・Conduct development and improvement trials to meet customer needs. ・Transport raw materials required by the development department from the in-plant warehouse or procure them externally. ・Manage inventory of raw materials used within the department. ・Perform other duties as instructed by supervisors, as needed (including lifting and moving raw materials weighing up to 50 pounds). ・Bilingual in Japanese and English ・No prior work experience required; candidates with an interest in food and cooking are encouraged to apply ・Ability to repeatedly prepare and refine product prototypes and participate in tasting evaluations ・Culinary certification is preferred ・Bachelor's degree (Food Science major preferred) ・Strong mathematical skills (used for concentration and related calculations) ・Strong interest in Japanese cuisine ・Basic PC skills ・Fundamental knowledge of product development in a food manufacturing environment, or strong willingness to learn ・Ability to mix/formulate and cook ・Strong communication skills with an emphasis on teamwork ・Ability to lift and move items weighing up to approximately 50 lbs (handling raw materials) Employment Status | Full Time Position | R D Assistant Language | Japanese/English Working Hours | Mon - Fri 08:30 - 17:30、Overtime required Salary | $22～$25/hour（DOE） Benefit | Medical Dental, and vision insurance (100% provided) 401(k) Paid time off (per company policy)
