Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking energetic and dedicated Banquet Managers to join our dynamic team in two key leadership roles: Sales Lead and Floor Captain. These positions are vital in orchestrating seamless banquet operations, driving sales growth, and delivering exceptional guest experiences. As a Banquet Manager, you will oversee all aspects of banquet service, coordinate with culinary and event staff, and ensure that every event exceeds expectations. This is an exciting opportunity for hospitality professionals passionate about food service management, team leadership, and creating memorable events in a fast-paced environment. All positions are paid roles, including internship opportunities for those eager to develop their skills in the food industry. Duties Lead and motivate banquet service teams to deliver outstanding customer service and uphold brand standards Drive banquet sales by promoting event packages, upselling services, and building strong client relationships Oversee food preparation, presentation, and quality control to ensure consistency with culinary standards Manage inventory control, including ordering supplies, tracking stock levels, and minimizing waste Supervise shift operations, including POS transactions using Aloha POS or Micros POS systems, cash handling, and billing accuracy Train staff on food safety protocols, food handling procedures, and proper service techniques Coordinate with kitchen management to ensure timely food production and delivery for events Conduct staff interviews, training sessions, and performance evaluations to foster a skilled and motivated team Ensure compliance with health regulations and safety standards across all banquet activities Assist in budgeting efforts by monitoring labor costs, food costs, and overall operational expenses Requirements Proven experience in food service management or hospitality management within a quick service & fast food restaurant or fine dining environment Strong background in supervising teams, managing shifts, and training staff in a hospitality setting Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS for order processing and cash handling Knowledge of food preparation techniques, culinary experience preferred but not required Excellent customer service skills with the ability to handle guest concerns professionally Experience with inventory control, food safety practices, and food handling regulations Ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently in a fast-paced environment Previous banquet experience or catering background is highly desirable Leadership qualities with a proactive approach to staff development and operational excellence One of these positions is Sales and Touring and Coordination for Weddings and Events, and the other is more of a live action floor position running the service itself, like a Captain or Maitre D.
