Food Service Worker - Early Learning Academy Job Description We are seeking a Food Service Professional with Food Handler's Certification and experience as a Certified Food Service Worker to support an Early Learning Academy. Why You Should Join Us

USDA CACFP
guidelines while maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment. You'll collaborate with the center team to support children's health, safety, and well-being through food service excellence. Key Responsibilities Prepare and serve daily breakfast, lunch, and snacks for children aged 12 months to 5 years. Follow
USDA CACFP
meal patterns and accommodate dietary restrictions and allergies. Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen and food storage areas per health code standards. Receive, store, and rotate food and kitchen supplies; track inventory and prepare food orders as needed. Monitor food temperatures and maintain accurate meal production records and documentation. Support classroom staff with meal delivery and transitions. Assist with menu planning and updates under the guidance of the Director. Follow all health and safety policies and licensing requirements. What We're Looking For Education and Experience High school diploma or equivalent required. At least one year of food preparation experience in a childcare or institutional kitchen is preferred. Knowledge of CACFP standards and child nutrition is a plus. Certification Requirements ServSafe or Food Handler's Certificate required First Aid/CPR preferred; must be certified within the first 60 days of hire. Skills and Abilities Prepare nutritious meals in accordance with CACFP and state health regulations. Maintain cleanliness and organization in a fast-paced kitchen setting. Communicate effectively with coworkers and supervisors. Work independently and take initiative. Manage time efficiently and maintain accurate records. Be culturally sensitive and supportive of a diverse community. Frequently lift and carry up to 40 lbs and stand for long periods of time.
