Responsibilities Prepare and serve a variety of nutritious meals and snacks to students and staff according to established menus and safety guidelines Maintain cleanliness of food preparation areas, dining spaces, and equipment to ensure compliance with health standards Assist with food portioning, plating, and presentation to create an inviting meal experience Support the setup and cleanup of serving lines, cafeterias, or dining areas before and after meal service Follow proper food handling procedures, including storage, sanitation, and temperature control to ensure food safety Provide friendly customer service by greeting students and staff warmly, answering questions about menu items, and assisting with special dietary needs when required Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during meal periods, including catering or banquet events as needed Requirements Previous experience in food service, catering, banquet work or hospitality is highly desirable Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse groups of students and staff Knowledge of food handling safety practices and adherence to hygiene standards Experience in food preparation, serving, or restaurant environments is preferred Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail Basic understanding of dietary accommodations and special diet requirements is a plus Flexibility to work varied shifts aligned with school schedules; prior banquet or catering experience is advantageous This position offers an engaging environment where your enthusiasm for food service can shine!
