No Job Purpose:
The busser is responsible for watering and breading tables as guests are seated along with ensuring tables are cleaned and reset in a timely manner post guest departure. The busser is also to assist the serving staff when needed with any task the server is behind on i.e pre-bussing, clearing and or rewater.
Job Duties:
Adheres to the Gasparilla Inn and Club's 4 Steps of service and company standards. Exhibit's the Gasparilla Inn's Core Values. Arrive for scheduled shift promptly and report to the Manager. Prepares dining room for patrons by cleaning and setting tables; lighting candles, napkins, service plates, and utensils. Protects establishment and patrons by adhering to sanitation and safety policies. Polishing glassware and utensils during slower times to ensure constat supply for service Maintains table setting by removing courses as completed; replenishing utensils; refilling water glasses; being alert to other special needs. Supports wait staff by setting-up and replenishing, trash containers liners, and bus stations. Closes dining facility by cleaning chairs and tables; sweeping and/or vacuuming floors; removing trash and recyclables from the facility. Updates job knowledge by participating in staff training opportunities. Enhances organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments. Maintain complete knowledge nightly bread spreads. Maintain complete knowledge of table and seat numbers, proper table set-ups, hours of operation, price range and dress code of the restaurant. All other duties as assigned.
Working Conditions and Assignments:
This is a physically active position and individuals can expect to work in a variety of environments both indoors and outdoors. This position is also required to work during nights, weekends and holidays.
