Responsibilities Assist with food handling, serving, and supporting kitchen staff to ensure timely and efficient service. Buss tables promptly after guests leave, ensuring a tidy dining space for incoming customers. Support manual handling tasks such as heavy lifting of supplies, equipment, or food items using safe lifting practices. Help with catering setups and breakdowns for special events or large parties hosted at the cafe. Communicate effectively with team members and customers to ensure a smooth dining experience. Follow proper food safety procedures and handle food products responsibly in line with industry standards. Qualifications Previous experience in food service, restaurant work, or hospitality is preferred but not required; enthusiasm and willingness to learn are essential. Ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting while adhering to safe lifting practices. Strong communication skills to interact positively with customers and team members. Knowledge of cleaning protocols, bussing procedures, and food handling safety standards. Experience in catering or hotel environments is a plus but not mandatory; training will be provided. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail.
