Orlando Health is seeking a Patient Food Hospitality Attendant - Training Lead to help create an exceptional dining experience for our patients while supporting the growth and success of our hospitality team. In this role, you'll combine outstanding customer service with hands-on training and mentorship, ensuring team members deliver safe, compassionate, and high-quality meal service every day. What You'll Do As a Patient Food Hospitality Attendant - Training Lead, you will: Lead by example by delivering exceptional customer service to patients, families, visitors, and healthcare team members. Train and mentor new Patient Food Hospitality Attendants using approved educational materials and hands-on instruction. Demonstrate proper meal tray delivery and collection procedures, guest tray processing, patient meal selection assistance, and service recovery techniques. Educate team members on isolation precautions, food safety standards, and customer interaction best practices. Coordinate daily patient meal service operations to ensure timely, accurate, and compassionate service. Respond to patient concerns and partner with leadership to ensure prompt service recovery. Monitor compliance with portion control, tray accuracy, meal delivery standards, and guest tray procedures. Support departmental education, performance improvement initiatives, and ongoing staff development. Maintain knowledge of therapeutic diets to assist patients with meal selections and improve patient satisfaction. Follow food safety guidelines, including HACCP principles, universal precautions, and foodborne illness prevention practices. Foster a collaborative, respectful, and inclusive environment while supporting Orlando Health's commitment to excellence. Minimum Qualifications One (1) year of food service experience. Strong customer service and communication skills. Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively. Ability to respond professionally to patient and customer inquiries. Flexibility to work rotating shifts based on department needs. Willingness to cross-train and support multiple areas within Food & Nutrition Services. Preferred Qualifications Experience training or mentoring team members. Hospital, healthcare, or hospitality food service experience. Knowledge of therapeutic diets and patient meal service. Understanding of HACCP guidelines and food safety best practices. Strong leadership, coaching, and problem-solving skills. Why Orlando Health?
