Role:
The Busser plays a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the dining area to ensure a pleasant and efficient dining experience for guests. This position supports the waitstaff by promptly clearing and resetting tables, replenishing supplies, and assisting with general upkeep throughout service hours. The Busser contributes to a smooth flow of operations by anticipating the needs of both guests and team members, helping to create a welcoming and comfortable environment. Attention to detail and a proactive approach are essential to uphold the establishment's standards of hygiene and presentation. Ultimately, the Busser helps enhance customer satisfaction by enabling timely table turnover and supporting a seamless dining service.
Minimum Qualifications:
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods during shifts. Basic understanding of food safety and hygiene practices. Strong work ethic and willingness to perform physically demanding tasks. Good communication skills to interact effectively with team members and guests. Legal authorization to work in the United States.
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality environment. Familiarity with health and safety regulations related to food service. Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Team-oriented mindset with a positive attitude. Basic knowledge of customer service principles.
Responsibilities:
Clear and clean tables promptly after guests have finished dining to prepare for the next seating. Reset tables with clean linens, silverware, glassware, and condiments according to restaurant standards. Assist servers by refilling water glasses, delivering bread or other items, and responding to guest requests as needed. Maintain cleanliness in the dining area, including sweeping floors, wiping down surfaces, and emptying trash receptacles. Collaborate with kitchen and waitstaff to ensure efficient communication and smooth service flow during busy periods.
