This position is expected to be highly visible and engaged during service periods, supporting team members, interacting with members and guests, and ensuring service standards are upheld. Essential Responsibilities A La Carte Dining & Member Service Assist in the daily management of a la carte dining outlets, including dining rooms, bar service, pool dining, and other member-facing food and beverage areas. Maintain an active floor presence during service to support staff, greet and engage members, monitor service flow, and ensure member satisfaction. Lead pre-shift meetings, communicate menu updates, assign service stations, review reservations, and prepare the team for each service period. Ensure dining rooms, service stations, bars, floor plans, menus, and member-facing areas are properly prepared, clean, organized, and ready for service. Respond to member and guest feedback with professionalism, urgency, and care, while communicating important feedback to the appropriate leaders. Banquets, Events & Club Functions Support banquet and event execution, including setup, staffing, service coordination, timing, breakdown, and overall event flow. Review banquet event orders regularly and remain familiar with upcoming events, room locations, timelines, staffing needs, and member expectations. Partner with culinary, catering, banquet, beverage, and service teams to ensure clear communication and smooth execution. Support Club events, holidays, tournaments, and high-volume service periods as required. POS, Administration & Operating Standards Assist with POS management, including menu updates, pricing, modifiers, item accuracy, billing procedures, member charging, and team training. Monitor order accuracy, check handling, closing procedures, and service-related POS issues during daily operations. Assist with staff schedules, service assignments, labor awareness, and operational planning based on reservations, events, and business levels. Monitor cleanliness, safety, maintenance, and presentation of dining areas, equipment, furniture, fixtures, and service supplies. Assist with inventories of service items, beverage-related items, and other front-of-house operating supplies as needed. Staff Leadership, Coaching & Hiring Participate in the hiring, interviewing, onboarding, and training of front-of-house team members in partnership with Human Resources and Club leadership. Coach, train, and support service team members through daily feedback, service observations, and ongoing development. Reinforce Club service standards, appearance expectations, responsible alcohol service, employee policies, and operating procedures. Encourage a teamwork-focused atmosphere built on respect, accountability, communication, and gracious hospitality. Complete other duties and special projects as assigned by the Assistant General Manager. Qualifications Prior food and beverage supervisory or management experience required. Private club, resort, hotel, or upscale restaurant experience preferred. Strong understanding of a la carte dining, banquet service, bar service, and member/guest hospitality. Experience with POS systems and basic food and beverage administrative responsibilities. Ability to lead, coach, train, and motivate front-of-house team members. Strong organizational, communication, problem-solving, and follow-through skills. Professional appearance, positive attitude, and calm leadership presence. Ability to work nights, weekends, holidays, and special events based on Club needs. Knowledge of responsible alcohol service and applicable service regulations. ServSafe, alcohol service certification, or similar credentials preferred. Physical Requirements Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods of time, including up to four hours or more during active service periods. Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds as needed. Must be able to bend, stoop, kneel, reach, balance, push, and pull during daily operations. Must be able to work in a fast-paced hospitality environment, including dining rooms, kitchens, banquet spaces, bars, outdoor areas, and pool operations. Must have sufficient hand strength and dexterity to perform service, setup, POS, administrative, and operational tasks throughout the shift. The ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays may be required based on Club events. Ideal Candidate The ideal candidate will be a visible, hands-on hospitality leader who enjoys being on the floor, supporting staff, engaging with members, and helping create a consistent and welcoming dining experience. This person should be comfortable balancing service execution, staff coaching, event support, POS responsibilities, and daily operational details while contributing to a positive team culture.
