We're seeking an enthusiastic Catering Assistant who is passionate about mouthwatering, open pit-cooked barbeque and creating a fun-filled dining experience for our guests. As a Catering Assistant you will have the opportunity to work within your community as you represent our rich history that dates all the way back to 1958 when our founder, John "Big Daddy" Bishop had a dream. In this dream God visited him and told him to open a restaurant. Mr. Bishop obliged and opened the original Dreamland in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. In the early years, the restaurant sold everything from burgers to postage stamps but quickly turned into the fun and exciting restaurant it is known for today! Our Success Starts With You! Responsibilities of Catering Staff:
Total Earnings are based off of base hourly rate plus weekly tips and server fees. Support Catering Manager with advertising catering services throughout local and surrounding communities Planning food menus according to customer needs and expectations Preparing food in a healthy and clean kitchen environment Consulting with customers about any potential changes before every event Transporting food to and from venues Decorating food-serving areas at the venues Cleaning food-serving areas after the events Serving food and drinks at the venues Make sure the supplies are well-organized and stocked Knowing all the food ingredients Providing excellent customer service Prior experience preferred, but we're willing to train the right candidate. Candidates must have exceptional multitasking skills and be able to work in a fast-paced environment, able to lift 25 lbs. or more, stand and walk for extended periods of time, able to bend, kneel, and lift tray overhead.
