Family-style Cafe Helper

Overview We are looking for a friendly and hardworking Cafe Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will help create a welcoming environment for customers and keep the café running smoothly. Duties include serving food to customers, making bubble tea drinks, keeping the café clean, and providing great customer service. Experience in the food industry and strong customer service skills are preferred. Responsibilities Greet customers warmly and bring them to an assigned table. Assist in food preparation (bubble tea drinks), ensuring all items are prepared according to health and safety standards. Maintain cleanliness by bussing tables, sanitizing surfaces, and ensuring the café area is tidy at all times. Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system to process transactions accurately when needed. Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during busy periods. Follow food handling guidelines to ensure the safety and quality of all food served. Shifts (Hours may change depending on business needs and will be further communicated during interviews) Day shift 11AM - 3PM (Strongly preferred) Evening shift 5PM - 8:30PM Qualifications Previous experience in a café or food service environment is preferred but not required. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail, taking a proactive approach to help with the operations of the café. Strong communication skills and a friendly demeanor when interacting with customers. Familiarity with POS systems and cash register operations is a plus. Knowledge of food handling practices and sanitation standards is highly desirable. Must be able to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as needed.
