Banquet Server/ Captain

The Savannah Yacht Club is a private, family-oriented club located on the Wilmington River on Whitemarsh Island, in Savannah Georgia. We are dedicated to member satisfaction through superior service and quality facilities.

Summary:

Provide food and beverage service to club members and guests at private and club sponsored banquets.

Job Duties:

Able to execute all details on Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) in the set time constraints. Ability to execute all service types to the highest standard. Provides immediate attention to all members and guests upon seating them. Takes beverage orders and serves food in specified station. Clears soiled dishes as needed. Assists in closing functions such as removing linen, bussing glasses, dishes, silverware, etc. and re-setting the room for the next function.

Physical Requirements:

Required to stand for long periods and walk, climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, stretch and twist or reach. Push, pull, or lift up to 50 pounds. Continuous repetitive motions. Work in hot, humid, and noisy environments. Required to work weekends and most holidays.
