Location Statesboro Campus - Statesboro, GA Department Information Food Catering Service Job Summary The Student Assistant will support Blue Tie Catering as a Food Service Associate on the Statesboro Campus beginning Summer 2026. This role is an essential part of the catering team, contributing to a smooth catering experience for both the internal and external clients. Student employees cannot work more than 1300 hours in a 12-consecutive month period. Responsibilities Prepares fresh food items and other prep tasks as needed Sets up and breaks down event spaces as needed Provides customer service functions such as interacting with clients Provides exceptional support functions for the Blue Tie Catering team such as serving food Keeps kitchen and event space areas neat and clean, including organizing, sweeping, mopping floors and any other cleaning tasks Works with various kitchen equipment Stocks Inventory Empties trash containers Shift Specifics Up to 25 hours per week Flexible with schedule of availability Shifts available Sunday - Saturday (event based) Required Qualifications Educational Requirements Must be enrolled in six or more undergraduate credit hours or three or more graduate credit hours at Georgia Southern University.
