Job Description

Position Summary Holiday Inn & Suites Idaho Falls is seeking an energetic, service-focused Assistant Front of House Manager / Banquet Captain to help lead daily restaurant operations while coordinating and executing banquet and event service. This position plays a key role in delivering exceptional guest experiences in both Burger Theory and our busy event center. Essential Responsibilities Restaurant Operations Assist with the daily supervision of front-of-house restaurant operations. Lead shifts and support servers, hosts, bartenders, and support staff. Ensure excellent guest service standards are maintained at all times. Address guest concerns and resolve service issues professionally and promptly. Assist with staff scheduling, training, coaching, and performance management. Monitor cleanliness, organization, and appearance of all restaurant areas. Ensure compliance with health, safety, and alcohol service regulations. Support inventory controls and operational procedures. Banquet & Event Operations Serve as Banquet Captain for meetings, weddings, conferences, and special events. Coordinate event setup, service execution, and breakdown. Lead banquet staff during events and ensure BEO specifications are followed. Communicate effectively with kitchen, sales, and hotel departments. Conduct pre-event staff meetings and assign responsibilities. Monitor event timelines and ensure seamless guest experiences. Maintain banquet equipment, supplies, and service standards. Qualifications Previous restaurant, banquet, or hospitality leadership experience preferred but not required. Experience supervising employees in a customer service environment. Strong communication and problem-solving skills. Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities. Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as business needs require. Knowledge of food and beverage service standards preferred. Physical Requirements Ability to stand and walk for extended periods. Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds. Ability to assist with banquet setup, including tables, chairs, and event equipment.
