- Part-time, Full-time BUSSER Job description Responsible for accurate and comprehensive knowledge of the menu and food as well as accurate and timely delivery of dishes from the kitchen to the dining room, including tableside service and explanation of dishes.
Communicate with and assist captains and back servers in order to maintain service efficiency and guest satisfaction. Assist captains and back servers with clearing of tables. Gather all necessary dining room service pieces for kitchen and restock as needed maintaining inventory and par levels. Must work well with both kitchen and dining room staff to ensure optimal organization. At all times maintains a clean working environment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Check in with management upon arrival for daily duties and station assignments. Set up service areas in kitchen, complete assigned sidework and ensure all service areas are detailed and ready for service prior to pre-shift briefing. Attend pre-shift briefing, taking note of relevant information including service, food and beverage, and guest notes. Maintain comprehensive knowledge of all menu items, ingredients and preparations. Be able to identify all menu items and ingredients by appearance. Ensure that all food orders are completed correctly, taking into account food allergies Dietary restrictions and special requests. Deliver plates from the kitchen to the dining room with finesse in a gracious and timely manner, placing on tables according to restaurant protocol, and completing Any required tableside service. Assist captains and servers with the presentation of courses, explaining any relevant menu items. Assist Captains and Servers in resetting tables during the evening. Communicate effectively with guests, co-workers and management. Be able to perform opening, mid and closing duties as outlined by management. Wipe and clean all kitchen service stations each service. Sweep and mop kitchen expo area as needed. Remove and empty trash as needed. Assist in counting china, glass, silver and linen. Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Must be able to stand for long periods of time. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds. Must be able to speak English proficiently.
