As a Banquet Captain, you will oversee banquet events from setup to breakdown, supervise staff, and maintain high standards of service and safety. Your expertise in food preparation, restaurant management, and customer service will drive the success of our banquet functions and elevate our guests' dining experience. Duties Lead and supervise banquet service staff to deliver seamless event execution, ensuring timely setup, service, and breakdown of banquet events. Coordinate with culinary teams to ensure proper food preparation, presentation, and adherence to food safety standards. Oversee inventory control for banquet supplies, linens, and food items to maintain optimal stock levels and reduce waste. Manage POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for accurate order processing and cash handling during events. Train new staff members on service protocols, safety procedures, and food handling techniques to uphold high standards of hospitality. Supervise shift operations, including scheduling staff, managing time effectively, and resolving guest concerns promptly. Collaborate with management on budgeting, event planning, and ensuring compliance with health regulations and safety standards. Skills Extensive experience in food preparation, cooking techniques, and food production within a fast-paced environment. Proficiency with POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for efficient transaction processing. Strong background in restaurant management, including shift management, staff training & development, and supervising teams. Knowledge of food safety protocols, inventory control practices, and catering operations. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to handle guest inquiries professionally and courteously. Leadership qualities with experience in managing staff in casual dining or fine dining settings; previous hotel or hospitality management experience is a plus. Ability to coordinate multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail in a high-volume environment.
