FOOD/LAUNDRY SERVICE
Peoria County - 3.4 Peoria, IL Job Details $15.48 - $18.30 an hour 8 hours ago Qualifications High school diploma or GED Driver's License Full Job Description Job Description Summary To provide kitchen, laundry, and cleaning services for the Juvenile Detention Center. This position will serve nutritious, healthy, and appealing meals as prepared by the Peoria County Jail for the residents of the Juvenile Detention Center while maintaining a safe, secure environment. This position will perform laundry and cleaning services on a daily basis.
Food Service:
Responsible for serving meals to residents in the dining area. All meals are prepared by the Peoria County Jail and transported to the Juvenile Detention Center by Food/Laundry Service.
Laundry Service:
Responsible for washing, drying, and folding facility laundry on a daily basis.
Cleaning Service:
Responsible for maintaining cleanliness of kitchen, dining, education, intake, breakroom, administration, lobby area of the facility. Must follow the facility's Policies and Procedures related to the security of the facility, most specifically - the kitchen area. Must possess adequate interpersonal and communication skills. Responsible for stocking food pantry. Incumbent is not responsible for the supervision of any residents(s). Must be certified in Food Service Sanitation by the State of Illinois. Must possess high school diploma or equivalent. Must be at least 21 years of age and possess a valid Illinois driver's license. Pass a pre-employment medical exam, drug screen, and background check including but not limited to LEADS and
CANTS. A
result of negative from the Illinois Department of Children and Family Services (DCFS) Child Abuse Registry.
